Being made aware that this game is the least KEMCO-like game in the publishers library, I am nonetheless excited to finally dip my toes into the dark side that is a KEMCO title.
I'm level 99 for all members, steamrolled the final boss, loaded my complete data and continued the game. It's there as an excuse for the dungeon crawling and crafting, and if a deep plot is what you're looking for, I'd recommend passing on this game. After several hours, I think Ive seen enough of Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom for the time being. Your enjoyment with Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom will vary according to how much mileage you get out of its gameplay loop until it begins to become tedious.
On one hand, this does cut down on the amount of redundant characters that could have possibly been introduced in the game. I'm also all about those short games that don't overstay their welcome, especially as a placeholder between a couple of meatier games. Dungeon crawling works like pretty much every game like this does. The other half of the main gameplay loop is the crafting section, where you make items to stock your blacksmith shop, fulfill requests from the Adventurer's Guild and, of course, make top-of-the-line weapons and armor for your party.
